The Kindness Collective is a project I, a high school senior at Bristol Plymouth Technical School, decided to start for my Senior Project. My mission is simple: to make the world a kinder place, starting right here in our Taunton community. I believe that even the smallest acts of kindness can spark big changes—and that everyone, no matter their age, can make a difference.
Throughout this school year, I’ll be organizing a new community charity project each month. But I can’t do it alone—I need your help and the support of our community to spread kindness! Let’s work together so we can all win. All I ask is that when you get the chance, spread the word, reach out, or simply be kind.
You can always get updates on the next kindness movement by following us on social media, which is provided below. Every single ounce of effort is deeply appreciated. Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hi! I’m Tamara Rivera-DeJesus, long name I know! Just call me the heart behind The Kindness Collective. I’m a senior at Bristol Plymouth Technical School and a proud member of the Taunton community. Ever since I can remember, I’ve been inspired by the power of small gestures—whether it’s a smile, a helping hand, or a simple act of generosity.
This project is more than a school assignment; it’s my way of bringing people together to make a real difference. I believe that kindness is something we all have to give, and I’m excited to see what we can accomplish together.
Where would you might have seen me?
Appointed by Maura Healey, Governor of Massachusetts, I was apart of the council to represent the student voice from my Sophomore to Junior year!
I was recently appointed to the Taunton Youth Commision just at the end of my Junior year. I am excited to be making change and empower the youth.
You have most likely seen me running around, from fundraising for a club at school, to handing out goodies as an intern for the Mayor. I try my best to do it all!
